Who We Help

The Koinonia Foundation's mission is to provide financial support for organizations located in the Wake Forest, Youngsville and Rolesville areas that address human needs, which are not otherwise adequately funded. We also respond occasionally to individual situations that demonstrate a need.

Since our founding in 1990, The Koinonia Foundation has been able to provide financial assistance to local charities including:

Tri-Area Ministries ChurchNet Y-Learning and YMCA Camp High Hopes Hospice of Wake County Safe Space, Inc. Back Pack Buddies And many more

These charitable organizations use our financial assistance to help families in need of food, shelter, clothing, medical assistance and other basic needs.

Each year during our Annual Celebration and Banquet one of the organizations assisted by The Koinonia Foundation is presented. During the 2010 Annual Celebration and Banquest (February 6th at 6:00 PM), Safe Space, Inc. of Louisburg will be presented as the major focus for our 2010 fundraising. Safe Space, Inc. is a battered women's shelter that serves northern Wake, Franklin, Nash and Vance counties.

Safe Space, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1995 to assist domestic violence victims and their children. For more information about Safe Space, Inc., visit their web site www.ncsafespace.org.
